Operating Engineers Certification Program
The Local 406 Training Center is in Robert, LA on 252 acres of land, seven miles north of I-12 on LA Highway 445. The Training Center is centrally located between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
Comprehensive Crane Training is provided to all our members to prepare them to take and pass the NCCCO Crane Operator Certification Test. Local 406’s Training Center is the only permanent registered CCO practical exam test site in Louisiana. Practical exams can be conducted for Lattice Boom, Large Telescope and Small Telescope Cranes.
The Robert Training Center also provides our apprentices and journeyman the opportunity to train on a variety of earth moving equipment. Apprentices can train on several bulldozers, motor graders, excavators, and rubber tire backhoes.
OSHA Safety & Health classes are available to all of our members, providing the necessary training needed to work in today’s construction industry.
